Kershaw City Cemetery Rules & Regulations
It is the desire of the Board of Trustees of the Kershaw City Cemetery to provide a quiet, beautiful resting place for the deceased, where a sense of repose will be obtained by dignified landscape effects on a well-maintained lawn. We also strive to offer a safe place for loved ones to visit the deceased. The Town of Kershaw wishes to work in collaboration with every lot owner. Everything that would mar the general beauty and harmony of the cemetery must be avoided. Peace and good order must prevail, and the respect for the honor of this place must always be maintained. It is to this end that the following rules and regulations are designed.
The following is an abbreviated guide. A complete copy of the Cemetery Rules and regulations can be obtained from the City Cemetery Manager at the Town of Kershaw Clerk’s office at: 113 S Hampton St Kershaw SC 29067.
The Cemetery Manager must be notified before any burials are scheduled and before any installations of copings, markers, etc.

Thank you for your cooperation in 2022! We look forward to 2023!
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, Wreaths Across America's mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
Wreaths are laid on the graves of veterans across all 50 states at exactly the same time as wreaths are being laid on graves of veterans in Arlington National Cemetery at noon Eastern Standard Time.
For more information visit their official site Wreaths Across America or to learn more about their story.
As soon as the 2023 date is released, we will post it here on this page. The Wreaths Across America will be at Kershaw City Cemetery (SCKSCK) located on Kirkland Avenue in Kershaw to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance Wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
The Kershaw City Cemetery has an estimated 3,000 graves with approximately 500 Veterans. There are some graves that are not marked identifying that they are a Veteran that if not identified on a list will be unintendedly missed during the Wreaths Across America.
Did you know that with the proper military documentation a VA Marker can be ordered for FREE? For more information go to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
If you have a loved one in the Kershaw City Cemetery who is a Veteran, does not have a VA Marker and has not received a wreath during the Wreaths Across America Ceremony please contact Town Hall at 803-475-6065.
