Antioch Baptist Church's Christian Stimulus Plan (CPS) Comes to Kershaw
Wednesday, March 31st, 2020
Pastor Trent McLaughlin of Antioch Baptist Church has organized the Christian Stimulus Plan (CPS) which promotes Christians helping other Christians.
Pastor McLaughlin along with his ministry are helping small businesses, especially those Mom and Pop businesses, that have been affected with slow business during COVID-19 Pandemic.
Yesterday they came to Kershaw! CPS supported K-Town Cafe & Ice Cream by giving away BBQ and Chicken sandwich plates (limited 2 plates per vehicle). Extra plates were purchased for $5 each.
Last week, they stopped by at Heath Springs Pizzeria and bought pizza and gave it away and the most amazing thing is that people were starting to pay it forward.
In times like these, it is important for the community to come together, support one another and give thanks to those that are on the front lines of COVID-19.
Thank you!!!

We Missed you Patches!!!
Thursday, May 28th, 2020
Recovering from damages back in November, Patches has returned home in Stevens Park.
Patches has returned to his forever home Thursday, May 28th, 2020, despite Stevens Park still being closed to the Public due to COVID-19 from an extended recovery of his unfortunate injuries last November. The last few months Patches has been in good hands and has come back to his ‘Forever Home’ looking even brighter than before! Once Stevens Park reopens we hope everyone will enjoy his presence and keep a watch over him! Patches is a bright spot in Stevens Park that no one can help but smile when they see him at the entrance of Welsh’s Station Playground. We hope Patches continues to spread his ‘sunshine’ to all visit him once Stevens Park reopens!
Patches is part of the Paws on Parade - a public art exhibit by the Lancaster County Council of the Arts. For a map of all the dogs in Lancaster County go to www.lccarts.net/paws!

Demolition has begun at the 'Old Bank Building' also known as the Kershaw Bank in downtown Kershaw. Mayor Mark Dorman wants to thank Senator Vincent Sheheen, for his vision for the Town of Kershaw and surrounding communities in the area that will impact the lives of so many and have made this project possible.
The site will eventually become home to the 'South Carolina First Steps Program', and will educate and enrich the lives of many of our children within the community.
Follow the transformation of the 'Old Bank Building' as pictures will be added as progress is made over the next few months!
