They all did Resurrection Eggs in addition to sidewalk art, backyard egg hunts and making Resurrection Rolls!
Everyone in the family got creative and painted the Easter Bunny!
They get creative by drawing what Easter means to them!
They all had fun using different media to color eggs including using gel and shaving cream!
They make a Easter Egg Tree every year so the Easter Bunny can find them easily and that they still believe!
Angela stated that her neighbor decorated for Easter, "...and was so sweet she said we could take my kids pictures with her Easter decorations so their Easter wouldn't be cancelled."
They get creative several different ways; Easter Egg Hunting, coloring chalkboard faux eggs, dyeing plaster eggs, and using different media to paint coloring pages printed from the world wide web.
Now this is really creative; a stained glass cross made out of dyed lasagna noodles!
They had a backyard photo shoot with the Easter Bunny! Anna stated "This year we had to get really creative for our almost 3-year old that is obsessed with the Easter Bunny. Good thing the Easter Bunny decided to come live with us during 'quarantine." (wink) We baked cupcakes and will be baking Easter cookies."
Courtney stated that besides the traditional Easter Egg Hunt and family dinner, "...we make an Easter Egg tree in the front yard for everyone who drives by to enjoy."
They got creative baking Easter Basket cookies and decorating the poster board to greet the Easter Bunny!
Betty's granddaughter got inspired by a neighbor's decorated yard and thought she would decorate their yard too!
They like to dress up for Easter as you can see with this adorable color coordinated outfit with bunny ears!!!
KERSHAW EASTER CHALLENGE
How do you get creative for Easter?
Is it by Drawing? Coloring Eggs? Easter Egg Hunt?
With the Town of Kershaw being under a State of Emergency the Community Easter Egg Hunt has been canceled that was suppose to take place Saturday, April 4th at Stevens Park. With the Kershaw Heart & Soul Office full of Easter Baskets we have been trying to come up with some way to distribute them that would fall within the social distancing recommendations imposed during the COVID-19 Pandemic. With several attempts, the Kershaw Easter Challenge was created!
Children 12 and under, living within the 29067 Zip Code were eligble to have a chance to win an Easter Basket (1 per household). Simply take a picture of "How you get CREATIVE for Easter" and submit it along with a description and contact information to by Sunday, April 12th, 2020 by 11:59 p.m.
Winners were selected on Monday, April 13th, 2020 and contacted by email. As you can see there are a lot of creativity out there in our community!
The Kershaw Easter Challenge wouldn't have happened without the support and collaboration of the Town of Kershaw, Kershaw Heart & Soul and Kershaw Area Resource Exchange (KARE). THANK YOU!!!
